Randolph Engineering was contracted to provide surveying, site design, site permitting, and construction stake out for a natural gas processing plant located in Putnam County, West Virginia. The Hurricane natural gas processing plant and site was designed to process 10 million standard cubic feet /day of locally produced natural gas and to condition the gas so that it is commercially marketable.
The gas will be delivered to the plant by pipeline and then compressed by electric powered compressors. Three product streams are produced by the facility: purified natural gas which is compressed onsite and delivered by pipeline to the Columbia Gas pipeline system, commercial grade liquid propane and a liquid butane and heavier hydrocarbon stream with the propane and butane streams trucked to local markets.
