Project: Central Distributing Facility
The project involved the design of a 43,170 square foot office and warehouse complex for Central Distributing, South Charleston.
The design involved the preparation of plans and specifications for the complex and surrounding grounds. The structure consists of a single story masonry shell and interior steel framing. The roof system used was a rubberized roofing system. The structure is founded on raft and continuous foundations.
The interior of the complex was zoned into two primary areas. The warehouse area utilizes 39,270 square feet including a 18,600 square foot cooler. The office area utilizes 6,900 square feet.
Design of the site involved grading, drainage, and parking layout as well as utility layout. Over 105,000 cubic yards of earth was moved to bring the site to final grade.
